October Cliff Notes

Holy mackerel!  Has it already been (more than) a month?!?!
I suppose it is a good thing that we've been doing so much living we haven't had spare time
to blog about it.  But we do like to take some time to share what Anna has been up to
for all our friends and family.  So, here is a brief, yet comprehensive look at the past month.

We really enjoyed another year of the annual Farm Tour.
Really, what's not to love.

Corn!

Then we made sure to hit the Renaissance Festival this year.
Another annual tradition.

We planted a tree in the front yard.  A beautiful river birch.
And we held our annual soup party that evening (no photos).

The next morning we found what I have dubbed
"The Bent Tree Lane Gang" in our back yard
...all seven of them.

Anna was in another play at our Civic Theatre, "Big Pumpkin".
She was Mummy #1.  We were so proud, she remembered all of her lines.

We attended "Silents in the Cathedral"
a silent movie festival set in an old, gorgeous episcopal church.
This was something I'd always wanted to do, and it didn't disappoint.

Showtime!

We carved jack-o-lanterns, of course.

Anna's school had an inservice on the 31st, so we went to breakfast
downtown to a great locally owned spot in a historic building.
We had breakfast and board games, and the barista made Anna
a very special hot chocolate. (See the bunny?)

We followed breakfast with some trick-or-treating at Mom's workplace and then onto a photo shoot.  There is an awesome exhibit outside of the University museum that just screams (pardon the pun)
witch haunt!

Tonight we're heading out to trick-or-treat the new 'hood.
The weather is perfect...and the forecast is calling for snow later this week.
A perfect transition into November.

Blessings, All!
